Mustang, or the former Kindom of Lo is hidden in one of the most remote corners of the Himalaya mountain range in Nepal. Photographer Taylor Weidman and Nina Wegner were given special access to the restricted area to document this virtually unchanged region. According to Taylor, Mustang is one of the best-preserved example of traditional Tibetan life left in the world. The photos above are from Taylor’s book “Mustang: Lives and Landscapes of the Lost Tibetan Kingdom,”. Also worth looking at is The Vanishing Cultures Project.
