Butabu: Architcture of West Africa is a book published in 2003 which was co-authored by British photographer James Morris and Harvard Professor Suzanne Preston Blier. The book showcases these fascinating buildings called Butabu. These structures have been built in the Sahal region of western Africa, including the countries of Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Togo, Benin, Ghana, and Burkina Faso.
