“The stubby beer bottle was Canada‘s nationial beer bottle from 1961 to 1984. In 1961 the Dominion Brewers Association (now the Brewers Association of Canada) replaced the heavy, bulky, non-standard 12oz “pint” and 22oz “quart” beer bottles with a new more efficient designed “stubby” bottle to be used by all Canadian breweries.” via stubby and lovelypackage

“Air Canada, seeking to open a new chapter in the airline’s history and energize its brand, hired FutureBrand to create a new design for its aircraft livery and cabin interiors.
The restyling includes a new and innovative design that mixes art and technology to reflect the unique and dynamic personality of the airline. The new tail displays a powerful evolution of the familiar maple leaf, while the fuselage shimmers with an innovative, iridescent paint, to capture the sense of the plane’s energy when in motion or changing light conditions. The overall design, the first of its kind, challenges the established language of aircraft livery design, while retaining the status of flag carrier.
The new cabin interior emphasizes the airline’s dedication to innovation, and its attention to detail. The design incorporates crisp textures and luminous colors that extend to all cabin furnishings – seat fabrics, blankets, carpets, bulkheads, etc. In another “first of its kind” move, the lie-flat, executive class seats are upholstered in a fabric that makes a unique pattern for each seat.
The restyling of Air Canada’s corporate identity provides continuity, while starting a new chapter in the airline’s history. There are other continuing initiatives going on in concert with this project, including a uniform redesign, new ad campaign and a fleet modernization program that will improve operational performance and facilitate new frequencies and routes.”
