Peruvian design agency Paralelo had the honours to design the visual identity and exhibition for the 100th anniversary of the discovery of Machu Piccu. In 1911 American Historian Hiram Bingham discovered the former Inca city and brought the discovery to international attention.

To mark the anniversary a visual identity was created that highlights the visual memories of the expedition. Large scale black and white photographs of the ruins and it’s discovers were actively used on posters, brochures, postcards etc, in addition to the yellow colour, which really stands out from the images. The logo is made up of the centennial celebration, the shutter of a camera, gold, sun, and Hiram Bingham. Thanks to Elo Hirakata for the tip.

Finished here? Then have a look at these.
