This is an awesome illustration covering the story of the Bengal tiger of India and its surroundings. London based illustrator Ray Smith was commissioned by the Fah Thai magazine to created one of their front covers. Ray incorporated flora, fauna, birds, butterflies, boat men and even cocodies which make up the wild cat of India.

The cover illustration received two awards making it the publisher’s most successful issue ever! So how did Ray come up with his award winning idea?

“the story focused on the the Bengal Tigers of India and the wildlife as well as the people around them, I wanted my illustration to encompass all this and allude to the danger and exclusive nature of the animals. It came together pretty organically and I landed up really enjoying drawing it !”
