I love the simple idea and execution behind these posters. The brief was to design a series of posters for the Makanlah Buah-Buahan Tempatan exhibition. Curated by L.I.E. the posters should communicate and celebrate Malaysia‘s local fruits through art and design.

Singaporean graphic design studio Roots came up with the simple solution that combined structure colour with chinese typography to bring forward the unique character of each fruit. To achieve this, geometric shapes taken from the stereotypical form of the fruit were inserted into the poster. Three posters were produced, representing the Durian, Kelapa (Coconut) and Nanas (Pineapple). Each posters was hand crafted. via underconsideration
