Chinese Hakka font
Posted by rod - 01.12.2011Zilong Xu created the Hakka font to keep a part of the Hakka ethnic group’s history and culture alive.
The Hakka ethnic group is spread around the southern part of China and were the earliest “Han” settlers in China, related with the “royal bloods”. However, globalization and cultural collectivism of today has destroyed their individuality. The younger generation of the Hakka group are in the process of forgeting their identity. The font and design material’s aim is to gain people’s attention by rebranding the group.
