16 Vintage German Lebkuchen Tins

Lebkuchen or also known as Pfefferkuchen is a traditional German baked Christmas treat. Dating back as far as 1296 in Ulm and 1395 in Nürnberg the Lebkuchen is truly part of German history. With the Lebkuchen also came the Lebkuchen tins which you can see above. These vintage Lebkuchen tin designs date as far back as the late 19th century, spanning various artistic movements in history. Not only were these tins beautifully decorated, but they also preserve the fragrance and flavor. Nowadays these vintage Lebkuchen tins have become collectors’ items and are famous all around the world. via leckerlee
