Cuba is stepping up its game in the race to brand its nation to the world. Cuba’s latest efforts to draw in tourists to experience Havanna, Varadero and other prominent sights looks promising in my perspective. Countries such as Venezuela and Zambia who also recently changed their appearance could learn from Cuba.
The Cuban Ministry of Tourism approached Toronto based branding agency Brandworks to design its tourism brand. The concept is based on “Auténtica Cuba”, showing real life situations. With the help of photographer Russel Monk the world-wide campaign received its authenticity and its international appeal.
