The Ituri Forest Pygmies in the Democratic Republic of the Congo are nomadic hunter-gatherers who rely on a healthy forest to survive. If the Forest goes, so go the Pygmies. Photographer Randy Olson took some incredible images of these people for the for National Geographic magazine featuring Africa to raise the issues which these people are facing at the moment.

I live in Bunia, a town of 300,000 which is the capital of the Ituri District of the DRC, and I find these images quite credible. But they are breath-taking! Congratulations and best wishes.
