Welcome
Posted by rod - 21.02.2011Welcome to the redesigned blog.
As you may know, over the past two years CreativeRoots has built up an impressive art and design collection based on countries of the world, with each post being influenced by its countries, culture and history. I decided that it is about time to make this blog more attractive and user-friendly.
Let us have a look at the new features
The main action happens in the center of the page and this is also where you can browse through the continents and countries. Not only that, but you can also choose between two views, “grid” and “list”. Either you click onto the buttons or simply press the “G” keyboard key for Grid view, or the “L” key for List view. If you are in the list view you can easily zip up and down the blog posts by pressing the “N” for Next post and “P” for Previous post. This feature was built exclusively for all of you who love your keyboard shortcuts like I do.
Having increased the image size in list and post view, I hope your experience will be more inspiring and engaging. Staying with the aesthetics, I have also incorporated the web font Brevia which is provided by Typekit.
Last but not least, I am introducing the brand new Creatives Area. Here you can find a variety of creative talent, ranging from big corporate agencies to freelancers from all over the world.
A special thanks goes to psd2html who developed the site.
I hope you enjoy the new site and would be very happy if you could spread the word.
Thanks.
Rod
