I am exited to present you the “Mathaf” typeface which was specially developed for the Arab Museum of Modern Art in Doha, Qatar, Tarek Atrissi designed this beautiful Arabic and Latin font which took them months to create.

“The bilingual typeface we were asked to design was more of an artist experimentation: It had to look far from a digital typeface, but rather a hand scribble; a personal signature; a quick spontaneous-looking hand writing that looks more like a scribble taken from an artist’s sketchbook.”

Reading through the requirements I think Tarek Atrissi came up with a great solution which suites the bilingual font.

Finished here? Then have a look at these.

Tell me about it Erlend. It would be great to understand it.

This is really cool to see on your site. I’m really looking forward to that museum’s opening.
