Posted by rod - 08.04.2010

Tibetan artist Gade created these wonderful artworks which mix Western comic-book heroes (The Incredible Hulk, Spiderman and Ultraman) with traditional Tibetan art.

“Gade was born May 1971in Lhasa, Tibet. In 1991, he graduated from the School of Fine Arts, Tibet University in Lhasa, with a degree in Traditional Chinese Realistic Painting. In 1992, he was admitted to the Master of Arts programme at the Central Academy of Arts as a student assistant.
Gade is a founding member of the Gedun Choephel Artists’ Guild. Now a lecturer in the School of Fine Arts, Tibet University, Gade is also a contracted artist with Rossi & Rossi Gallery in London, Plum Blossoms Gallery in Hong Kong and the Red Gate Gallery in Beijing.” via oneinchpunch and rossirossi
