Devine Town is based on the Indian font, Devanagari. Character styles were manipulated to create roman letterforms. The initial concept was to fuse together two completely different cultures through typography. The literal translation of Devanagari is ‘Devine Town’ Found via

I have to say though, that legibility doesn’t seem that great …

I’m pleased to see the devanagri font being used in Italy as well. Talk about going international.
